THE FIRST COTTON GROWN EXCLUSIVELY FOR HAKRO.
FORGING NEW PATHS
Through a holistic approach, Raddis® supports smallholder farmers in southern India in their transition from conventional to regenerative agriculture. Currently, seventeen farming families cultivate high-quality regenerative cotton for HAKRO across approximately eleven hectares of land.
BACK TO THE ROOTS.
For centuries, cotton was grown without artificial irrigation or synthetic chemicals until intensive monoculture farming became widespread. In the face of climate change and increasing water scarcity, these traditional cultivation methods are receiving renewed attention. According to Raddis®, regenerative cotton cultivation has proven particularly resilient. Despite irregular rainfall, participating farmers achieved a successful harvest.
BECOME A PROJECT PARTNER
Our aim is to support the projects of Raddis® in India and to help establish new partnerships together with local organisations. Over the past few years, we have collaborated on developing T-shirts made from Raddis® cotton that tell the stories behind these projects and help bring them to life. Would you like to get involved?
If so, we'd love to hear from you. Simply send us a message at:

HAKRO HÄLT. SEIT 1969
NEUE WEGE GEHEN
We create textiles that support people through their working day, day after day. Comfortable to wear and built to withstand demanding use. As a family-owned company, we are not driven by shareholder interests. Instead, we act according to the values that have shaped HAKRO from the very beginning: durability, responsibility and thoughtful design. These principles have guided us since our foundation in 1969 and continue to do so today under the second generation of family leadership.
