In our trainers, we use an alternative material that is partly made from by-products of apple processing. The material consists of 40% polyurethane (PU), 24% apple residues, 20% polyester and 16% cotton.

Dried and powdered apple fibres are combined with synthetic components, particularly polyurethane (PU), and applied to a textile backing material. Further processing creates a durable material that is suitable for specific applications in textile production.

As a result, HAKRO trainers are manufactured without materials of animal origin.
